The rules as written, and the math behind them

Moles, skins and closest to the pin: the games inside the match.

1

The MOLE is in effect every season. A MOLE is similar to a mulligan in that it allows you to replay a shot for $1 but it also has the added benefit of increasing the fund for our year-end party. One MOLE is permitted per round (per nine holes). It can be used on ANY shot where a putter is not used. If you are off the green and use a putter, you can not use a mole. Closest to PIN hole (You cannot win the CTP with a Mole). Moles MUST be prepaid and purchased at the beginning of the year.

2

A skin is the sole low gross score on a hole. If two or more players tie for low gross on a hole, no skin is awarded on it. The night's skins pot splits evenly among the skins won; if nobody wins a skin, the whole pot carries over to the next week.

You can't win a skin if you are using a sub OR using your *worst round OR not playing on league night.

3

CLOSEST TO THE PIN

See the math →

Each week one par 3 is the Closest to the Pin hole. The player whose tee shot finishes closest to the pin wins that week's CTP pot. An official measurement must be made with a tape measure.

You cannot win the CTP with a MOLE, and a *worst round is never eligible. If no one wins it, the pot carries over to the next week.

Disputes & final say

DISPUTES

If you suspect your opponent may have improperly scored a hole please confront them at that time not after the match. If someone asks you to verify a score, please don't get mad, just go over the hole with your opponent to verify. Everyone makes a mistake once in awhile. Any disputes that can't be resolved can be brought to the elected league officials where a final decision will be determined via vote.

RULES

If a specific exception is not shown in our league rules above, we shall observe the USGA rules of golf for all other rulings.

FINAL DETERMINATIONS

Any and all rules, exceptional circumstances, and disputes can be brought to the league officers for a decision. The officers will discuss the issue and vote to obtain a majority final decision. The officers majority decision is final and overrides any other conflicting rules.
